About Rudding Holiday Park
Description
Rudding Holiday Park is just 3 miles south of Harrogate and only minutes away from the A1 motorway. It is therefore not only easily accessible but is also an ideal venue to visit Yorkshire's many sites and attractions.
There is no shortage of history in the area. Whilst the beautiful spa town of Harrogate is close at hand, historic York is only 40 minutes away. Castle Howard, Harewood House, Fountains Abbey and Bolton Abbey are a few of the famous places in the vicinity whilst for the young at heart why not visit Lightwater Valley or Flamingo Land.
Extending over 50 acres, Rudding Holiday Park boasts holiday cottages and lodges, 141 pitches, the Deer House Family Pub, heated outdoor swimming pool, games room and adventure playground.
Golfing enthusiasts are encouraged to take advantage of Gimme Golf, home to The Great Yorkshire Golf Adventure, TrackMan Driving Range, Six Hole Short Course, Championship Hawtree Course and more.
The Deer House Family Pub overlooks the swimming pool and is open every weekend and daily throughout the local schools holidays serving drinks and hot and cold food.
With the clever use of planting and hedging, the park has been divided into smaller areas. We offer generous sized grass pitches with electric hook up. In addition to these a limited number of hardstanding and supersites are available providing additional facilities including a water point, a grassed area and a car parking space.
Tents may use the grass pitches or alternatively, there are separate areas for camping only.
Centrally located on the park are two excellent toilet and shower facilities with free showers and wash basins, electric points for shavers and hairdryers, constant supply of hot water and baths in the larger facility. There are coin operated washing machines and tumble dryers, iron and ironing boards and plenty of washing up facilities.
Our self catering lodges and cottages can accommodate groups of varying sizes from 2-7 guests. Nestling in and around the private country estate, our traditional country cottages of mellow stone carefully restored, and retains many of their original features.
Our holiday lodges are set in delightful woodland clearings, many overlook a small lake covered in waterlillies and partly surrounded by rhododendrons. Each lodge is constructed to the highest specification, well insulated, double glazed and centrally heated making them an ideal holiday retreat all year round.

Weekend stay on serviced pitch. Staff lovely and showed us to our pitch, which was nice touch. Pub was nice, as was the swimming pool. However the touring toilets & shower was very outdated and dirty, as was the pitches, which was threadbare at best. Just mud! (Even though it was start of the season, April. You’d expect some repairs. The children’s play area was 50% closed off with tape, bins over flowing. Again if it’s like this in April. Can’t imagine July etc. This is regularly highlighted on social media reviews etc. I’d of expected similar standards to the spa/club etc. sadly not. Other sites are nicer for the money.
The park is beautiful and well kept, the toilets and showers are kept clean. There is a pub and swimming pool which is popular. It is next to a spa and hotel and there is a golf course. You can walk all the way round the campsite. The only downside is there are far more seasonal pitches now so less choice for tourers
We went swimming this afternoon expecting a lovely warm pool, as we have experienced in previous years, we did not find a warm pool. The pool was absolutely freezing, pumping even colder water into the shallow end, it was dirty and cloudy. Considering the price has had a huge increase from last year I was at least expecting the water to be clean. Huge disappointment. Definitely will not be returning.
A good quality holiday park. Great location, good size pitch. Pub, pool on site and dog friendly. Would recommend, definitely for families more than couples though.
Nice little weekend stay at this campsite, good facilities for the children including driving range and outdoor heated pool. We didn’t eat onsite but drank in the pub which had nice vibes. There was a bonfire display and fireworks which we didn’t expect, that was fantastic and very well organised. Downfalls for us was we arrived on Friday 31st Oct and expected Halloween events for the kids which were unfortunately the day before so we missed that which was a shame. The toilet block (male) my husband used these and said they were disgusting, excrement all over the toilets and up the walls, not cleaned regularly. Female toilets and showers seemed clean and had good amount of cubicles, showers, sinks, a bath, and a baby change. Very noisy neighbours on the first night, playing music and being very loud until early hours of the morning. Kept our children awake as you could literally hear everything!! Overall, pleasant stay. Staff friendly and attentive, really good location. We took a trip into knaresborough which was beautiful and only about 10 mins in car. We ate at the kestrel pub 5 mins away, absolutely gorgeous food highly recommended.
