Other attractions in the area include Lowther Penrith and Brougham Castles (all within 12.5 miles) as well as National Trust properties. Ullswater is only 16 miles away; enjoy a steamer across the Lake and explore some of the stops along the way. If you don t want to venture far step out for a woodland walk and spot some of the local wildlife and birds. Set in a pretty cobbled courtyard opposite the owners home (privacy is assured) you will find this charming ground-floor converted barn. Walk into the hallway where you will find a separate WC and a large storage cupboard where you can store your coats and boots after a busy day exploring.
