The village of Hawkshead is renowned for its links to Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth and both literary figures are celebrated in the village s National Trust properties. Lake Windermere and Coniston Water are both situated within five miles of the property and offer plenty of opportunities for boat rides water sports and scenic walks around their shorelines. For thrill seekers the Go-Ape high ropes centre at Grizedale Forest is just over three miles away. Guests entering this property come directly to the lounge/diner decorated in warming colours which give this room a lovely welcoming feel. Here guests will find a large dining table and comfortable seating from which to enjoy the cosy wood burner TV/DVD and CD. Moving through to the kitchen guests will discover a contemporary well-equipped space with oven hob microwave fridge freezer dishwasher and washing machine. A door from the kitchen opens out onto a small village square.
