Music icon Tom Jones invited fans to “Come Gather Round” as he brought his brand-new tour to Halifax on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The much-anticipated concert took place at the historic Piece Hall, which was filled to capacity, marking a sold-out event that celebrated the return of the Welsh legend to the stage. Jones had previously performed two sold-out shows at this venue in 2022 and 2024, and his return was met with great excitement.

Concert Highlights

Jones kicked off his 90-minute set with the heartfelt song “I’m Growing Old” from his 2021 album.

The audience was soon treated to a series of his greatest hits, which included:

  • It’s Not Unusual - His very first number one hit from 1965

  • What’s New Pussycat

  • Sex Bomb

  • You Can Leave Your Hat On

  • Delilah - A massive singalong moment that brought the crowd together

  • Kiss - A cover of the Prince classic that closed the main set

As the night progressed, Jones's powerful voice and charismatic stage presence had the audience singing along and dancing. The atmosphere was electric, especially during the performance of “Delilah,” which led to a memorable singalong that echoed through the venue.

Encore Performance

After a brief intermission, Jones returned to the stage for an encore that included:

  • Green Green Grass of Home

  • Strange Things

  • Covers of Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B Goode” and Jerry Lee Lewis’ “Great Balls of Fire”

This encore was a fitting way to end the night, leaving fans on a high note and eagerly anticipating his next performance.

Support Act: Stone Foundation

Opening the show were British soul favourites Stone Foundation, who have previously supported Tom Jones, Madness, and Paul Weller at The Piece Hall. This marked their fifth performance at the venue, and they helped to set the tone for the evening with their lively set, warming up the crowd for the main act.
