Scheduled for Monday, May 10 at Ilkley’s King’s Hall and Thursday, May 13 at Harrogate’s Royal Hall, this tour promises to be a celebration of the courageous women who bring Mother Nature to life on screen.

The Wild Women Live tour features a remarkable line-up of female storytellers from some of the most popular wildlife documentaries across the globe. Presenters, filmmakers, and camera operators from renowned networks such as the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, Netflix, and National Geographic will share their experiences and the challenges they face in the field.
This tour is not just about showcasing their work; it’s about inspiring the next generation of girls and young women to see themselves in these roles.The tour will visit a total of 29 venues across the UK, bringing together a diverse group of women who have captured the beauty and drama of the natural world. From lush jungles to icy Arctic landscapes, these pioneers have dedicated their lives to revealing the hidden lives of animals and the wonders of nature.
Meet the Wild Women
Leading the tour are well-known figures in wildlife broadcasting, including Michaela Strachan, a star of The Really Wild Show and Countryfile, and Anna Dimitriadis, a skilled wildlife camera operator and presenter known for her work on Big Cats 24/7 and Tiger Island. Alongside them in Yorkshire will be Libby Penman, a Scottish filmmaker, and Sarah Roberts, an environmental journalist and author.
Speaking about the tour, Anna Dimitriadis expressed her enthusiasm, saying:
“The women we are bringing together for this tour come from different disciplines and generations—but what unites us all is courage, exceptional skill, resilience, and a determination to look more closely at Mother Nature’s wonders.”
She emphasised that the event is an invitation for young women to imagine themselves in these exciting roles.

The tour is being sponsored by the RSPB and Volvo, both of whom are committed to promoting sustainability and conservation.
