Finance Assistant
Our client is a well-established, privately owned group of businesses with a diverse portfolio of operations across the property sector. They are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their friendly finance team, supporting the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities.<br /><br />Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a varied role that combines transactional finance with wider administrative responsibilities. It offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to a broad range of accounting activities while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.<br /><br /><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> <ul> <li>Process supplier invoices accurately across multiple group companies.</li><li>Maintain organised financial records and ensure documentation is filed correctly.</li><li>Manage finance inboxes and respond to internal and external queries.</li><li>Assist with payment runs and monitor outstanding approvals.</li><li>Support expense processing and maintain accurate financial records.</li><li>Perform data entry and assist with ledger maintenance and reconciliations.</li><li>Liaise with suppliers and colleagues to resolve invoice and payment queries.</li><li>Provide administrative support to the wider finance team.</li><li>Assist with month-end processes and reporting.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvements in finance administration and processes.</li></ul> <strong>Salary & Benefits</strong> <ul> <li>Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience.</li><li>35-hour working week.</li><li>Hybrid working with home working on Fridays.</li><li>26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.</li></ul> IPS Finance has 45 years’ experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
