Senior Management Accountant - Part time

Whether you're managing childcare, studying, building a portfolio career, or simply done with the 9-to-5 grind, this role is designed to work around you, not the other way round.</p> <p><strong>What you'll be doing as the Senior Management Accountant:</strong></p> <p>You'll own the monthly management accounts for parts of the business - accruals, prepayments, journals, balance sheet reconciliations. Our client wants someone who can also go further: questioning the figures, catching issues early, and genuinely understanding what's driving the numbers.</p> <p>There's room to shape how things get done too. You'll help improve processes rather than just follow them, acting as the main point of contact for adviser queries.</p> <p>You’ll also manage a small team junior finance staff, reviewing their work and helping them develop. </p> <p><strong>What you'll need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience</li><li>A naturally inquisitive mindset - comfortable digging into numbers and pushing back when something doesn't add up</li><li>A practice practice would be ideal, with more recent experience within management accounts</li><li>Confidence communicating with non-finance stakeholders</li><li>Management experience</li><li>Strong Excel and systems skills</li><li>Sharp attention to detail and ownership of deadlines</li></ul> <p>You'll be joining a tight-knit Harrogate team with the stability and resources of a much larger national business behind them.</p> <p>Interested?
