<p><strong>Senior Residential Conveyancer</strong><br /><strong>Location: Harrogate<br />Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits</strong><br /><br />CRA Consulting is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Harrogate to recruit an experienced Senior Residential Conveyancer.<br />This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced conveyancer looking to take the next step in their career. Joining a friendly and collaborative team, you will play a key role in the continued growth of the residential conveyancing department, supervising a dedicated Conveyancing Assistant while working closely with the leadership team as you prepare to step into the position currently held by the retiring Head of Department.<br />The firm has an excellent reputation across North Yorkshire, a loyal client base and ambitious growth plans, making this an ideal opportunity for someone seeking long-term career progression and the chance to genuinely influence the future direction of a successful department.<br /><br /><strong>The Role</strong><br />You will manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, handling matters including:</p> <ul> <li>Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases</li><li>Transfers of equity</li><li>Remortgages</li><li>Shared ownership and shared equity matters</li><li>Staircasing transactions</li><li>Other residential property matters</li></ul> <p><br />Alongside your own caseload, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and mentor a dedicated Conveyancing Assistant</li><li>Support the ongoing development of the conveyancing team</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with local estate agents, mortgage brokers and introducers</li><li>Assist with the continued growth and success of the department</li><li>Work closely with senior management as part of a structured succession plan</li></ul> <p><br /><strong>About You</strong><br />The successful candidate will ideally have:</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of five years' experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload</li><li>The ability to independently handle approximately 60-100 live files</li><li>Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of residential property transactions</li><li>Excellent client care and communication skills</li><li>Strong organisational and time management abilities</li><li>Experience using a case management system (such as Proclaim, Redbrick, Quill or similar)</li><li>Excellent attention to detail</li><li>A proactive approach and the confidence to supervise and develop junior staff</li><li>A full UK driving licence would be advantageous</li></ul> <p><br /><strong>What's on Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Salary between £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience</li><li>Genuine opportunity to progress into a Head of Department position</li><li>One-to-one support from a dedicated Conveyancing Assistant</li><li>Friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment</li><li>Excellent quality work with an established client base</li><li>Long-term career development within a growing firm</li><li>Opportunity to play a key role in the future growth of the department</li></ul> <p><br /><strong>How to Apply:</strong><br />If this vacancy is of interest, please click the apply button.
