Probate Specialist - Huddersfield - HNW/Complex Estates

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced <strong>Probate Specialist</strong> to join a well-established and highly regarded Private Client team in Huddersfield.&nbsp;<br /><br />This is an exciting opportunity for a probate professional with strong technical expertise to work on a <strong>high-quality caseload of complex, high-value and high-net-worth estates</strong>, providing expert advice and exceptional client service throughout the estate administration process.<br /><br />The Role You will manage a varied caseload of probate and estate administration matters from initial instruction through to final distribution, with particular exposure to complex and high-net-worth estates.<br /><br />Your responsibilities will include:<br /><br /><ul> <li>Managing the full estate administration process from instruction through to distribution.</li><li>Dealing with high-value and complex estates involving business interests, agricultural assets, trusts, investments and overseas assets.</li><li>Preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.</li><li>Advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries.</li><li>Preparing inheritance tax returns and dealing with HMRC.</li><li>Identifying inheritance tax planning opportunities during estate administration.</li><li>Preparing estate accounts and arranging distributions.</li><li>Dealing with contested estates and Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims where appropriate.</li><li>Working closely with accountants, financial advisers, wealth managers, valuers and other professional advisers.</li><li>Building strong relationships with high-net-worth clients and professional referrers.</li><li>Supporting the continued growth and development of the Private Client team.</li></ul> About You You will have <strong>significant experience in probate and estate administration</strong>, ideally with a proven track record of managing complex and high-net-worth estates.<br /><br />You should have:<br /><br /><ul> <li>Strong technical knowledge of probate, estate administration, inheritance tax and trusts.</li><li>Experience managing a caseload independently from instruction through to completion.</li><li>Excellent client care and communication skills.</li><li>The ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism, empathy and discretion.</li><li>Strong organisational and time-management skills.</li><li>A proactive and commercially minded approach to client service.</li></ul> You may be a <strong>Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, STEP-qualified practitioner or an experienced probate professional</strong> with equivalent experience.&nbsp;<br /><br />What's on Offer?
