The school, which is known for its strong ties to local employers and has received an “Outstanding” rating from Ofsted, achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate across all qualifications.

This year’s results highlight the exceptional performance of Ron Dearing UTC students, with some standout statistics:
71% of students achieved a grade 5 or above in both English and Maths, significantly higher than the national average of 45% from last year.
83% of students secured a grade 4 or above in English and Maths, compared to last year’s national average of 65%.
78% of students earned grades 5 to 9 across triple science subjects, which include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Top Achievers
Among the high achievers this year is Charlie Beach, who has been recognised as the top student in the school. Charlie excelled by securing an impressive 8 GCSE grade 9s along with a Distinction* in Engineering. This outstanding performance places him at the very top of his class, showcasing his dedication and talent.

Another remarkable student, Basi Dinu, also achieved excellent results, including six GCSE grade 9s and a Distinction* in Engineering Design. Both Charlie and Basi’s achievements highlight the exceptional academic environment at Ron Dearing UTC, which encourages students to strive for excellence.
Supportive Environment
The success of these students can also be attributed to the supportive environment fostered by the school’s pastoral mentors. Chemaine Brown and Lynn Robinson play crucial roles in guiding and supporting students throughout their educational journeys. Their dedication helps ensure that students feel supported and motivated to achieve their best.
Celebrations were in full swing at Ron Dearing UTC as students shared their joy with friends and mentors. Photos captured the excitement of students like Zuzanna Ciura and Anastasija Matvijcuka, who were seen enjoying the celebratory atmosphere.

Pathways to Future Success
In addition to achieving excellent exam results, many students are now looking ahead to exciting opportunities. For instance, Will Sutton and Evie Clark have both secured apprenticeships with well-known companies.

Will will be starting his apprenticeship with food producer Cranswick, while Evie has landed a position with the NHS. As they celebrate their successes, the community looks forward to seeing how these young individuals will continue to shine in their future endeavours.
