Halfords Autocentre Hull (Great Union Street)

Took my car in for MOT, ended up having alot if work done to pass. However.... The inside of my car was left with black oil hand marks all over the internal doors, roof and on seats. They didnt do any work on the windscreen but managed to "snap" off the wiper blade and replace it with another of a pool car. They advised a new one would be ready in few days but 2 weeks later still waiting. They Took off my fuse panel and its now lost. Complained online but told a manager will contact in 7 days 9 days later still nothing. Ill never use them again.

Went in today to get my drivers side front tire replaced due to a slow puncture. Was greeted with a very service by Chris at the desk. The lads fitted me with a brand new tyre and didn’t mess around (I was there for 9am and out with a brand new tyre before 9:30am). Thank you to Chris and the rest of the team for a great service!

On 4th February I visited Halfords Autocentre Great Union Street to have two new tyres fitted on my BMW M235. My alloy wheels were immaculate so I asked them to be careful. I then watched the fitter struggling to remove one of the tyres, that resulted in them damaging it! - Grind marks and scratches all over the rear rim of the alloy ! I made a complaint to their customer services, who referred me back to the centre that fitted them. After taking the wheel back to be photographed, I was told someone would be in touch. After a week, and nobody getting in touch, I rang them back, and was told it would be chased up. Another week passed, and no contact. I rang them back again, to be told the same thing, someone would be in touch, and again, no call! After a month of waiting, the centre manager attempted a refund, for the cost of repair to my wheel, which I have not received. I have tried to sort this matter direct through the centre concerned, customer services, and by means of emailing my complaint just to be ignored. I have always held Halfords in high regard, I think their tools are good quality but their autocentre, and customer service is shameful! If you take pride in your alloy wheels, I would avoid this place at all cost !

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent service from Chris and his young mechanic. They carried out my car service professionally, explained everything clearly, and were honest throughout. As a military veteran, I really appreciated the respect and care they showed me. It's refreshing to find a garage that values its customers and takes pride in its work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be returning.

We were having major car trouble on the way home from our holiday. The car broke down on the car park while getting booked in. The guys were so kind and helpful gave directions for some food and managed to get the car looked at quickly. They were very accommodating, professional and we felt at ease throughout.
