We design and build everything from branded sampling stands and uniform kits to full-blown event experiences for big-name clients.</p> <p>We've just moved into a brand-new production HQ in Leeds, and we're looking for a friendly, practical, get-stuck-in sort of person to join our production crew.</p> <p><strong>Role Overview:</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a Print & Production Assistant with a strong design background to support our busy design, print, and production teams. This is a hands-on, directly supported role, ideal for someone who enjoys seeing creative work move from screen to finished product.</p> <p>You will be responsible for preparing artwork for print, operating and maintaining print and finishing equipment, and supporting the wider production process to ensure high-quality outputs are delivered on time and to brand standards.</p> <p>Please note: this is not a Graphic Design role.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>Equipment Production</p> <ul> <li>Construction: Woodworking, painting, decorating, building, branding and fabricating display materials & equipment</li><li>Rigging: Leading or assisting the set up, pack downs and loading of equipment and materials, as directed</li><li>Production Planning: Setting and agreeing timelines for production and ordering, with escalating cost implications</li><li>Campaign Support: Providing effective support for live activity, as required by the business</li></ul> <p>Artwork Preparation for Print</p> <ul> <li>Set up and prepare artwork files using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).</li><li>Ensure all files meet print specifications including bleed, resolution, colour profiles, formats, and material requirements.</li><li>Adapt and amend artwork to suit different print applications and materials.</li></ul> <p>Print Queue & Machine Operation</p> <ul> <li>Operate and assist with the setup, mounting, and maintenance of print equipment including:</li><li>HP printers</li><li>Latex printers</li><li>Summa plot cutters</li><li>DTF printers</li><li>Industrial laminators</li><li>Manage print queues and production schedules to meet deadlines efficiently.</li></ul> <p>Troubleshooting & Application</p> <ul> <li>Identify and resolve issues between digital artwork and physical production (e.g. scaling, colour discrepancies, material limitations).</li><li>Work closely with designers and production staff to find practical solutions.</li></ul> <p>Mounting, Finishing & Branding</p> <ul> <li>Trim, mount, laminate, and finish printed graphics to a high professional standard.</li><li>Apply branding to uniforms using heat presses and finishing equipment, ensuring consistency and quality.</li></ul> <p>Inventory & Quality Control</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and manage stock levels of print materials, uniforms, and consumables.</li><li>Carry out quality control checks to ensure all outputs meet brand, colour, and finish standards before dispatch.</li></ul> <p>Production Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist with campaign kit preparation, production builds, and occasional on-site installations when required.</li><li>Support the wider production team during busy periods.</li></ul> <p>Organisation & Maintenance</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient production environment.</li><li>Ensure tools, equipment, files, and materials are properly stored and maintained.</li></ul> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p>Required Experience & Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years' experience in a design or print-related role.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.</li><li>Proven experience setting up artwork for print.</li><li>Understanding of large-format print processes and finishing techniques.</li><li>Comfortable working with production machinery and learning new equipment.</li><li>High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively across design, print, and production teams.</li><li>Full driving licence.</li></ul> <p>Desirable (But Not Essential):</p> <ul> <li>Experience with HP Latex printers and Summa plot cutters.</li><li>2 years experience in Joinery (Preferred).</li><li>2 years experience in Event Rigging (Preferred).</li><li>2 years experience in Print Production(Preferred).</li><li>Knowledge of DTF printing and industrial laminating.</li><li>Experience working in events, retail, or campaign production environments.</li></ul> <p>Personal Attributes:</p> <ul> <li>Great timekeeping and reliability</li><li>Hands-on, practical, and proactive</li><li>Calm under pressure with good time management</li><li>Strong problem-solving mindset</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Team-focused and willing to support others</li></ul> <p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Company pension</li><li>Free parking</li><li>Sick pay</li></ul> <p>Please click on the <strong>APPLY</strong> button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.</p> <p>Candidates with experience of: Format Print Operator, Print & Production Technician, Artworker & Print Assistant, Signmaker, Pre-Press & Production Assistant, Production Assistant, Print Operative may also be considered for this role.</p>
