Product & Range Manager (inc New Product Development)
This role plays a critical role in delivering successful products by balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility, ensuring that the right product is built and delivered effectively. <br /><br /><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br /><br /><strong>The key responsibilities include (but are not restricted to);</strong><br /><br />-Identify, understand, apply and manage the appropriate life cycle stage for each product group.<br />-Successfully apply product life cycle management techniques, using data analysis to make fact-based decision on product range changes and developments.<br />-Track product group performance using KPI's and analytics and align with product life cycle stages.<br />-Further develop and implement product identity information in the form of an ERP system friendly Product Passport document.<br />-Ensure that each product in the portfolio has a full product passport, technical specification sheet and appropriate compliance documentation.<br />-Support NPD activities originating from either supplier new product announcements or from customer requests.<br />-Develop relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, building on the companies already established trading history.<br />-Work as a cross functional link (bridge) between company supply chain and sales teams.<br />-Support and provide collateral for events such as new product launches, trade fairs and other external events, e.g., supplier visits or trade industry events.<br />-Manage and support product launches, via the company website, sales emails (Hubspot), and the development of relevant sales materials etc.<br />-Ensure timely and high-quality product releases on NPD and product change notices.<br />-Ensure that all relevant staff have product training for all new products and refresher training on existing where required.<br />-Provide support as necessary on quality or non-compliance issues raised on the products.<br />-Ensure that all changes to products are communicated and managed to ensure a smooth transition ensuring both company and customer change controls are respected.<br /><br /><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br /><br />-Proven experience as a Product and Range Manager<br />-Experience of working with cross-functional teams<br />-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills<br />-Ability to align Product, Place, Price, Promotions<br />-Experience with data analysis tools is a plus<br />-Excellent communication and stakeholder management<br />-Understanding of product management methodologies <br />-Ability to prioritise and make data-driven decisions<br />-Commercial awareness and business acumen<br />-Leadership without direct authority <br />-Excellent time management skills.<br />-Understanding of SAGE or similar systems<br />-Proven competence in Regulatory and Legal requirements.<br />-Excellent organisational skills<br />-Leadership ability with excellent team working skills<br />-Educated to degree level and ideally with a qualification in business or a business-related topic<br />-High level of commercial awareness.<br />-Always display a high level of professional behaviour.<br />-Advanced knowledge of computer database and of Office 365<br />-Commercially focussed decision making<br />-Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.<br />-Team working – ability to develop, coach and lead a team.<br />-Collaborative style – liaising with other departments/Managers to ensure customer expectations are achieved.<br />-Also need to attend external events such as Sales Meetings, Supplier and customer visits and trade events as appropriate, some of which will require overnight stays.<br /><br /><strong>WHAT’S ON OFFER:</strong><br /><br />-Full training and development<br />-Up to 25 days holiday (pro-rated for part time working) - plus bank holidays<br />-Company pension<br />-Health Plan Scheme<br />-Death in Service<br />-Salary between £38-£42k per annum.<br /><br />REF-229 878
