Maison Galoupet 'G de Galoupet' Organic Rosé 2024, Côtes de Provence

Maison Galoupet is a 300-year-old estate situated along the Mediterranean coast in Côtes de Provence, one of the world's most recognised rosé regions. First recorded as "Le Galoupe" during the reign of King Louis XIV, it holds prestigious Cru Classé status, a distinction awarded to only 18 producers in the region. A significant turning point occurred in 2019 when Moët Hennessy acquired the 160-hectare estate, placing organic certification and sustainability at the core of its operations. Today, the property comprises 69 hectares of vines and 77 hectares of protected woodland. It also actively supports regional biodiversity by housing five million bees and a queen bee breeding station in partnership with the Observatoire Français d'Apidologie. Positioned as an approachable entry in the portfolio, G de Galoupet features a refined blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle, Syrah, and Tibouren, a rare black grape variety that serves as a signature element in Galoupet's wines. Furthering its commitment to environmental responsibility, Galoupet bottles its wines in 85% recycled amber glass rather than traditional clear glass. Completely free of plastic and aluminum and weighing just 300g, this innovative packaging design significantly reduces the estate's overall carbon footprint. It opens with aromas of mango, pineapple, white peach, clementine, and rose. The palate is clean and expressive with a natural acidity. Great as an apéritif or with grilled fish, pasta or Mediterranean dishes.
