Hemerocallis 'Sammy Russell'

Velvety crimson flowers bring drama and glowing colour to late summer borders. Hemerocallis Sammy Russell is a striking daylily producing masses of dark red blooms with golden throats held above arching green foliage from midsummer onwards. Each flower lasts for a single day, yet the plant produces such a generous succession of blooms that the display continues for weeks. The clump-forming foliage remains attractive throughout the growing season, adding shape and texture even when the flowers pause between flushes. This virtually indestructible perennial requires very little care after establishment, rapidly bulking up into larger clumps which produce more and more flowers each year.
