Blancpain’s desire to catalyse technical innovations to aid in the exploration of the marine world gave rise to the Fifty Fathoms collection, some of the finest dive watches ever made worn by the legendary oceanographer Jacques Cousteau. A robust satin-brushed 43mm steel case and scratch resistant sapphire crystal allow for an exceptional water resistance of 300m and with a power reserve of 50 hours, this watch is extremely durable. The brushed meteor grey dial has a date function at 4.30 and is pointed to by white luminescent baton hands and white luminescent hour markers indicate the hours. The dial also features 3 sub-dials at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock with flyback chronograph complication. The face is finished with a steel unidirectional bezel with black ceramic insert marked with minutes and it’s all fastened with a black sail-canvas strap with pin buckle.
