In 1904, Louis Cartier created the first modern wristwatch for his friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, allowing him to read time while flying. Since its relaunch, the Santos-Dumont watch has been faithful to the elegance of the original model. It is a collection that addresses collectors by exploring thin and elegant refined details while maintaining its emblematic codes : purity of design and symmetry of lines echoing the Parisian geometry. Cartier writes another chapter in Cartier Santos-Dumont’s 121-year story; two new Santos-Dumont XL timepieces one presented in 18ct yellow gold and stainless steel bi-colour and another in full 18ct yellow gold. Both accompanied by alligator straps, in black and blue hues respectively, elegantly complimenting the unmistakeable silhouette of Cartier’s inaugural family.
