To shorten the vanes, you simply fold the top of the vane around the plastic bar supplied and slide over the top section to grip the vane. Then simply hook the top of the vane into the head rail and trim off any excess and thats it! The brackets supplied in this pack allow for top or wall face fixing of the blind, and all necessary fixings are included. The operation of the blind is simplicity itself. To open and close the blind, you simply pull the draw cords at the end of the blind and to angle the slats, you twist the metal chain until the slats are at the desired position. The head rail is a solid metal head rail, powder coated in white for long lasting cleanliness, which can easily be trimmed to fit any window. All these blinds come with a one piece head rail, which means that they draw back to one side only. However the blind can be turned 180 degrees before mounting to allow you to choose the side at which the blind opens.
