Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whiskey, 70 cl

Jameson Caskmates sees the reuse of old whiskey barrels. Nothing new in that, but in between, they've been used to age stout from Cork's Franciscan Well brewery. This has added notes of cocoa, coffee and butterscotch to this classic Irish whiskey. John Jameson founded the Bow Street Distillery in Dublin in 1780. It is now produced in Cork under the auspice of Pernod Ricard. A little known fact is that Mr Jameson married the sister of the brothers who went on to set up the Haig Distillery. Floral on the palate with a touch of bitterness
