Diplomatico Ambassador is an exquisite rum crafted from the distillery's best rums, and aged in white oak barrels for a minimum of twelve years until optimal maturity is achieved. The rums are finished for two additional years in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, contributing to this rum's complex sensory profile. Diplomatico Ambassador is bottled directly from the barrel in order to preserve the full expression of this wonderful Rum. Truly complex with notes of raisin, nutmeg and cinnamon with a long, long finish. ### Product Description It is the face of Don Juancho Nieto Melendez that appears on the labels of Diplomatico's wonderful range of Rums and is the inspiration behind the distillery being set up in what is unarguably the stunning setting of the Planas Valley, sitting at the foot of the Andes. He is said to have travelled extensively and built up a collection of spirits referred to as the 'Ambasador's Reserves'. Diplomatico rums tend to be a blend of sugar cane molasses and honeys.
