Allium 'Ostara'

Allium 'Ostara' is an exciting hybrid that combines the best of its parentage—broad, handsome, blue-green leaves and a compact habit from A. karataviense, boosted with the rich maroon-purple colouring of A. atropurpureum. Growing to just 40cm, it’s ideal for containers or weaving through borders where its lush foliage stays fresh—unlike most other alliums.Flowering from May to June, it brings bold colour before summer perennials peak. The dense, spherical flower heads sit on sturdy, weather-resistant stems, their jaunty, lollipop form bouncing perkily above emerging perennials that are yet to fulfil their promise.
