Description A very useful kit of temporary fasteners. Simply drill a hole in two panels and insert a pin using the pliers to provide a temporary fixing between the panels. This fastener can be removed and replaced as many times as necessary until the panel is finished. Then you can either put in a permanent fastener such as a pop rivet or bolt, or the panel can be welded and the hole filled. Originally used in the aviation industry these pins have become very popular for all kinds of sheet metal work, from temporarily assembling ducting to securing body panels. Also included in the kit is a pair of edge clamps, used at the end of a joint or for other clamping requirements on the edge of a panel. These clamps are much smaller and easier to work around than traditional welding clamps or G clamps and also provide a more accurate alignment as they are located in holes. This set includes 1/8" (3mm) pins. This tends to be the most popular size requiring only a 1/8" (3mm) hole to use the fastener. Other sizes are available separately if desired.
