Originally created in the late 1960s, the BT1001 Pendant No 1 was designed by prolific Danish architects Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup. The design is part of a three-lamp series inspired by simple geometry and the interplay of light and shadow. Pendant No 1 features a clean, conical silhouette that is as relevant today as it was 50 years ago. Available in lacquered steel or polished brass, this timeless piece will complement modernist and contemporary designs alike with its unadorned, functionalist form. These prolific Danish designers have collaborated on everything from innovative lighting to international architecture. After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts’ School of Architecture in Copenhagen in 1969, Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup began a collaboration that led them to join forces on design projects across the globe for more than 20 years.
