Geum rivale (Marginal Aquatic)

Cute, nodding blooms in orange-pink make for a great source of nectar for bees and hover flies, Geum rivale (Marginal Aquatic) looks beautiful in late spring all the way through to late summer. Low growing clumps of the lobed green foliage settle in moist and boggy borders, or planted as a marginal aquatic in shallow ponds. Known more commonly as a Water Avens, Geum rivale is a British bred hardy perennial. Height and spread: 60cm (24). Planting depth: Zones 1 & 2 to 8cm (3) below water level.
