Product Description

Clematis 'Bee's Jubilee' is a compact, deciduous climbing plant renowned for its striking, bicolored flowers and its ability to bloom repeatedly throughout the growing season. Since its introduction in 1958, it has become a favored option for gardeners seeking to enhance vertical spaces with vibrant color and texture. This climber can reach a height of 300 cm (118 in) and spread up to 100 cm (39 in), featuring twining leaf stalks that support its growth. The foliage consists of mid-green, deciduous leaves, while the flowers are notable for their large, 20 cm (8 in) soft mauve-pink petals, accented by a deep carmine central bar and creamy yellow stamens. Blooming occurs from late spring to early summer, with a secondary flowering period extending into late summer and early autumn, although the plant is not fragrant.Clematis 'Bee's Jubilee' thrives in full sun to partial shade, particularly benefiting from afternoon shade in hotter climates. It prefers moist, well-drained, fertile soil and requires regular watering, especially during dry spells. Hardy in the UK, it can withstand temperatures as low as -20°C. This versatile plant is perfect for trellises, fences, arbors, and containers, while also attracting pollinators like bees. For optimal growth, it should be pruned in late winter or early spring, as well as after the first bloom, to encourage further flowering.
