Magnolia x loebneri 'Donna' is a small tree or large shrub ideal for smaller gardens, captivating in March and April when large, flat white flowers up to 20cm across open on bare branches. The star-shaped blooms, formed from narrow petals, are wonderfully elegant and lightly scented, creating a striking seasonal display.A refined cross between Magnolia stellata and Magnolia kobus, it combines the best qualities of both parents, including excellent hardiness and greater tolerance of alkaline soils than many magnolias.
