Rhododendron 'Snow Crown' Yakushimanum Hybrid

Pink-purple buds will erupt in late spring to reveal large, white, trumpet-like blooms, with wavy petals flushed pink and some maroon freckles on the upper petal. Yakushimanum Rhododendrons are fully hardy, cope well in full sun, have a rounded, compact habit and are slow-growing, staying small for many years. Although small, they are reliably floriferous, boasting large, showy blooms. They are also renowned for their good health - partly due to the silvery hairs that cover the foliage, providing a barrier against diseases and pests.
