Product Description
Cultivate your own delectable, sweet red peppers within the shelter of an unheated greenhouse! The Grafted Sweet Pepper ‘Solario’ F1, a French hybrid, has been expertly cultivated for unheated greenhouse environments. These grafted plants yield substantial, thick-walled, dark red fruits, each reaching approximately 12 cm in length and weighing around 250 g. This early-maturing variety is both fertile and compact, showcasing impressive disease resistance, rendering it ideal for patios, kitchen gardens, greenhouses, or conservatories.Expect a plant height of approximately 90 cm (36 inches) and a spread of 45 cm (18 inches). Grafted sweet pepper plants exhibit enhanced vigour, increased yields, and superior resistance to soil-borne pests and diseases, proving particularly advantageous when cultivating peppers in the same greenhouse ground.Grafting clips may be present on our grafted peppers; please leave these intact, allowing them to detach naturally as the plant develops. As plant height and spread are subject to seasonal variations, information is provided based on pot size rather than a fixed plant dimension. Consequently, delivered plant height and spread may vary, and images are for illustrative purposes only.Peppers thrive undercover in greenhouses or polytunnels, or outdoors in a sheltered location with full sun exposure. Initiate growth by potting up young plants and nurturing them in warm, frost-free conditions. Once plants are well-established, transplant them into grow bags, containers, or meticulously prepared beds of fertile, well-drained soil. When growing sweet peppers outdoors, gradually acclimatise them to external conditions over a period of seven to ten days before transplanting, spacing plants 50 cm (20 inches) apart. Please note: This product is exclusively available for delivery within the United Kingdom.
