Crab Apple 'Prairifire' is a deciduous tree whose bark is a lustrous dark crimson that adds charm to any garden. In the spring, Malus 'Prairifire' blooms reddish-magenta, with purple leaves that turn green later. Then come the maroon, cone-shaped fruits, which ripen in the autumn and last long into the winter.
