John Moore The Numbers Game: Buried Secrets in a Small Hudson Valley Town

15 years after a shocking event that no one in this small town wants to talk about, someone is out for murderous revenge. Just as NYPD detective Samantha Whitecliff notices a welcome slowdown in homicides in New Yorks East Village Precinct, a nearby murder with the word one carved on the young victims stomach takes place. Her investigation takes her up the Hudson River to the small town of Catskill, where she and Catskill Police Chief Ted Mercer interview friends and family of the victim and keep hearing about a hushhush event from 15 years ago that relates to the victim.
