York, meet York Jazz Fest.   A new city-wide festival celebrating jazz in all its forms.   From intimate bars to iconic venues, from timeless standards to forward-thinking sounds, York Jazz Fest brings together the full spectrum of jazz for four days of live music, discovery and community.   Whether you've loved jazz for decades or have never listened before, you're invited.   1-4 October 2026.   Tonight: Alina Bzhezhinska presents Whispers of Rain, a solo harp and electronics set featuring music from her 2025 Tru Thoughts album with producer Tulshi. Performing alone, she builds expansive, layered soundscapes in real time using loop pedals and a sampler, moving between spiritual jazz, ambient atmospheres and free improvisation. Creator of HipHarpCollective, winners of the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Best Ensemble 2024, she has worked with Brian Jackson, Chaka Khan, Shabaka Hutchings and DJ Spinna.
