Product Description

SuperPro Suspension Bushes replace the rubber bushes in your cars suspension. Ideal either as a replacement for worn factory originals or as a handling upgrade, these are firmer and more durable than rubber.Improved durabilityEnhanced handlingMore direct handlingBushes on road cars tend to incorporate rubber as well as metal. This is to reduce the levels of Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) transmitted through the chassis into the car. While rubber does a good job of soaking up vibration, it does have a couple of disadvantages. Firstly, it tends to wear out with age. Extreme weather conditions, in particular, wear rubber out quickly.Once your bushes are worn, they allow the suspension components to move in ways they were never originally intended to do. This can compromise handling, stopping distances, and even putting power down. Some dangerous handling problems can be traced back to worn rubber bushes.Polyurethane, on the other hand, does not wear in the same way. Fitting SuperPro suspension bushes will restore worn suspension to "as new" condition, and save you a bit of ongoing maintenance.Secondly, rubber suspension bushes are - like any suspension component - a bit of a compromise. While it offers good NVH absorption, it is quite soft. While this is probably fine for a lot of drivers, once you start pushing the handling envelope of the car, you can start to feel it's limitations. An arm that is designed to swing up and down, can start to move from side to side under heavy load. This means that instead of pointing exactly where you want it to, your wheels can be deflected off to one side.A polyurethane bush will be designed to be much stiffer. While you don't want total rigidity on a road car, SuperPro bushes are designed to firm things up significantly. One of the interesting things about SuperPro is that while a lot of their development comes from people using their bushes on track, for most parts they do not offer a specific "Track" and "Road" part. This means that almost all of their parts are designed to offer a balance between being sufficiently insulating for road use, but offering enough handling improvement for the most spirited driving. In some cases, the SuperPro bush will offer modified geometry. This will be noted in the title.
