Dampmatic dampers from Bilstein come with special amplitude-selective technology. This means that they react one way to rapid compressions like big bumps in the road, and another way to slow compressions like those normally encountered as the cars leans, squats or dives during normal manouvering.In effect you're getting two shock absorbers in one. One that is soft and compliant over bad road surface, which is great for both comfort and road-holding, and another that is firm through corners under acceleration or braking.These are now fitted as Original Equipment on many Mercedes-Benz models and these dampers are perfect replacements for those cars.
