Monotube dampers are much more resistant to heat fade which makes them ideal for extended hard use.While these are likely to be firmer than your original equipment shock absorbers, the monotube design means they stay smooth and controlled. Fitting firmer shock absorbers with lowering springs actually gives you a smoother ride, as the rebound is better controlled. The car should be much less busy at low speed than it would be with standard dampers combined with lowering springs.In order to better match lowering springs, these have a shorter travel than B6s to better match stiffer, lower springs.
