•Radisson Hotel Group is making impressive strides in its growth strategy, with exciting developments expected in 2026. The company is building on its strong relationships with hotel owners and responding to the increasing demand for branded hospitality by expanding its presence across various regions, including Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Diverse Growth Across Regions
Throughout the first half of 2026, Radisson Hotel Group has been busy signing new agreements and opening hotels in key markets. This growth is not just limited to one area; the group is enhancing its footprint across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. This includes a mix of luxury, lifestyle, and upscale hotels, as well as resort and conversion opportunities. In Europe, Radisson has achieved several significant milestones:
New Hotel Openings: The company opened hotels in Austria, Germany, and Poland, including the Radisson Collection Hotel in Frankfurt and Radisson RED in Vienna.
Resort Expansion: New resorts have opened in popular holiday destinations like Tenerife and Phuket.
Sustainability Initiatives: The group is expanding its Verified Net Zero programme, committing to environmental sustainability by adding ten more hotels in countries such as Norway, Denmark, and the United Kingdom.

Elie Younes, the Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson, stated,
“We create value for our guests and owners through our brands and people. We believe in the long-term nature of our business and are committed to delivering above-market returns to all our stakeholders.”
This commitment to quality and sustainability is a crucial aspect of the group's strategy moving forward.
Exciting Developments in Asia Pacific
Asia Pacific is a key focus for Radisson, with the region experiencing rapid growth in travel and hospitality. The demand for hotels is soaring, particularly in China, where Radisson operates over 260 hotels under various brands, including Country Inn & Suites and Radisson RED. The company has a robust pipeline of future developments in major cities like Beijing and Wuhan, as well as emerging cities that are seeing increased travel activity. The first half of 2026 also saw Radisson make significant inroads into Southeast Asia. The introduction of LIME Resort Bohol marks an exciting debut for the brand in the region. Additionally, Radisson RED Auckland is the first of its kind in New Zealand, showcasing the group's commitment to expanding its presence in Australasia.
India: A Promising Market
Radisson's growth strategy is particularly ambitious in India, which is viewed as one of the most promising hotel development markets globally. Younes highlighted, “Demand continues to outpace supply, infrastructure is improving rapidly, and owner confidence remains high.” This strong market sentiment is supported by Radisson's strong legacy in India and the dedication of its local team. In the first half of 2026, Radisson signed and opened 22 hotels in India, bringing the total development pipeline in the country to nearly 100 hotels. Currently, the group operates 142 hotels with over 15,500 rooms across 86 cities. To further this momentum, Radisson recently launched its India Vision 2030 plan, which aims to increase its portfolio to 500 hotels in the next five years. This ambitious plan underscores the hotel's commitment to long-term growth in the region.
Focus on Sustainability and Brand Expansion
Another noteworthy aspect of Radisson's strategy is its commitment to sustainability. The company is actively working to reduce its carbon footprint by expanding its Verified Net Zero programme, which will see more hotels joining the initiative in various countries. The recent award of a Michelin star to Les Loges, a restaurant at the Cour des Loges Lyon, further highlights Radisson's dedication to quality and excellence in its offerings.
As Radisson continues to expand its brand portfolio, it remains focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences while also providing value to hotel owners. With a diverse range of brands, including Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, and Park Inn by Radisson, the group is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of travellers across different markets. The ongoing developments within Radisson Hotel Group reflect a larger trend in the hospitality industry, where branded hotels are increasingly in demand. As travel resumes globally, the group's robust expansion plans are set to make it a leader in the hotel sector, appealing to both leisure and business travellers alike.
