|Pickering Farm Shop and Café has exciting news for families in the area: they are now offering children’s parties! This new addition is set to delight youngsters and provide parents with a fun and stress-free way to celebrate special occasions. The farm shop already boasts attractions like Pick Your Own, a miniature railway, and a children’s playground, making it a popular destination for families.
Parties in The Barn
The new 'Parties in the Barn' initiative is designed for children under the age of 10 and will be available throughout the summer.
Lauren Turnbull, the assistant general manager at Cedarbarn, mentioned:
“People have been asking us if we could do children’s parties for a while, so we decided to give them a go.”
The upgraded Dutch barn, which has been made suitable for events all year round, will serve as the venue for these parties. Its capacity allows for up to 20 children, ensuring a lively yet manageable gathering for little ones.
What’s Included?
When booking a party, parents can expect a delightful package that includes:
Bespoke party invitations: Custom invitations to make the event feel special.
Exclusive use of the barn for 2.5 hours: A private space just for the partygoers.
A ride on the miniature railway: Children can enjoy a fun train ride, with grown-ups going free.
Party tea: A selection of sandwiches and a special Lottie Shaw’s train-shaped ginger biscuit that adds a sweet touch.
Access to the farm-inspired playground: Children can play and explore, making the day even more enjoyable.
Party places are priced at £15 per child, and bookings can be made for weekend slots between 10.30 am and 1 pm or 2 pm and 4.30 pm from 18th July to 20th September.
More Than Just Parties
In addition to children’s parties, the barn is also available for hire for other events at a rate of £15 per hour. This flexibility allows families and groups to use the space for various celebrations or gatherings.
