|A family-run chicken rearing business in Middleton on the Wolds has taken a significant step to enhance its operations by partnering with another family-owned company from North Yorkshire for its gas supply. Clive Soanes Broilers, known for its commitment to quality poultry, has decided to switch to Rectory Gas Supplies to ensure better service levels for its six farms.

Clive Soanes Broilers is a sister company to Soanes Poultry and has a rich history that dates back to the 1950s. It was founded by Tom Soanes, who started with just four broiler sheds in the garden of Church Hill Farm. Over the decades, the business has grown significantly, reflecting the hard work and dedication of the Soanes family. Today, it stands as a prominent name in poultry rearing, focusing on providing high-quality chicken to local markets.
Claire Wright, the Managing Director of Clive Soanes Broilers, expressed her enthusiasm about the new partnership with Rectory Gas Supplies:

Rectory Gas Supplies
Rectory Gas Supplies is based in Scrayingham and has been serving the local community since its establishment in 1988 by Ted Milner, a farmer who recognised the need for reliable gas supplies in the area. Initially focusing on delivering gas bottles around York and Pocklington, the business expanded its reach over the years, now supplying both homes and businesses across a wider area.
Liam Milner, the current Managing Director and Ted’s grandson, took over the reins in 2010 and has been instrumental in developing the bulk gas side of the business:
