KFC Scarborough- Market Lane

The food was good~ made quickly and tasted good. Only downside was that some tables still had trays with left over food / paper bags on them so it limited seating space ~ i understand customers throw their rubbish away (as i did when I left) but it would be nice if a member of staff does a quick walk around to clear off the tables for others.

I am not happy posting this. Saturday 11.30am. Medium 2 piece meal with large corn on the cob (2 pieces). 1. No table number tents so although you can ask for table service. Cant get it. Stand and wait. 2. No tissues at customer side. 3. The guy serving reached across to the trays onto of the waste bins and started load onto it. No wiping. 4. Outside some paving stones missing and very steep steps. 5. Food. Corn. Tasted like it had been in water for 24 hrs. No taste. Had 1 left 1 6. Chicken tasted very much of salt and pepper No balance. Left it 7. Only good point. Asked server for ketchup for chips and he gave me 4 packets. So no impressed. Feels like stretched for staff. Disappointed. I think you have let us all down.

We dined in and the place was a pigsty it was covered in rubbish had to circle around the place to fins a table that was semi clean enough to eat at. There was no napkins, forks ect, staff were stood talking there was only us in there so was not busy at all. Ordered two meals which both had a fillet as a side only got 1, the printers had no receipts so could not go and ask for the other one. Honestly it was disappointing not what it used to be

When done right. KFC is good food. I used this place 3 times in the last 2 weeks and wont return again. What makes it worse, I hunted it down, I DROVE TO it, I wasnt passing it on my daily travels and drove 6 miles one way from north of Scarborough all 3 times I visited, it was a deliberate drive, solely to this location. I Like KFC but this is not what I expect from them. The days visited were late Thursday night, Wed's evening and Sunday midday so across the spectrum. Nighttime the menu isn't lit up and is dark so you cant see it or order from it. Every visit the food tasted old and like it had been sitting around cooked and re heated multiple times. Never fresh. The chips are very underwhelming, leathery, again, even at a busy Sunday midday it tasted old and reheated. They are consistent, 3 for 3 I got poor food on 3 visits from a chain I normally enjoy. They won't get a 4th visit.

Ordered 2 caramel shakes and waited too long for them we ended up driving to Costa instead. The lad took ages to answer the drive-thru order machine and no one greeted us at the window. We were sat there for ages. Inside the shop was quiet and our patience ran out. I have never driven away from anywhere before! Costa staff were lovely and polite when we went there instead and we had our drinks within two minutes and their shop was busier.
