Festival-goers also enjoyed acts from Black Honey, The K's, and many more across various stages, including the all-female Pattern + Push takeover at the T’Other Stage.
Entertainment Beyond Music
Tramlines Festival is not just about music; it also offers a variety of entertainment options. Comedian Reginald D Hunter brought laughter to the T’Other Stage, while food stalls showcased the best of Sheffield's culinary delights. Attendees could savour local favourites like Proove Pizza and Yorkshire Burritos, along with a range of international cuisines, including Japanese and Jamaican dishes.
The festival also featured unique performances, including a lively show from The Ogretones, the UK's only 9-piece Shrek tribute brass band, and a DJ set from Ellie Coulton of BBC Radio Sheffield, who added her breakfast show vibe to the festival atmosphere.
Tramlines on Track
This year, Tramlines introduced an exciting new feature called Tramlines on Track. For the first time, live music was performed on Sheffield’s tram network, providing a delightful surprise for passengers as they travelled. This initiative pays homage to the Buskers Bus from the festival's early days, turning the city’s trams into a moving stage for emerging artists.
What’s Next for Tramlines
As the festival continues, Saturday’s line-up includes Courteeners, Blossoms, and Rick Astley, with attendees encouraged to participate in the festival's first-ever fancy dress day, themed around items beginning with the letter 'T'. The weekend will conclude with a performance by Wolf Alice on Sunday, alongside numerous other artists performing across Hillsborough Park and the wider Tramlines Fringe.
