Be a part of it.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative/Assistant with a passion for making a difference to others. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>You’ll be working Full Time 40 Hours a Week (Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm) at Sheffield Day Service, helping provide a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Sheffield Day Services support people with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs, physical disabilities and autism.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>We aim to enhance the quality of life of the individuals who attend the service. We focus on demonstrating outcomes and value through our activities.</p> <p><b>Your Day-to-Day...</b><br />• Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service<br />• Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work<br />• Maintain equipment, services & vehicles<br />• Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment and potential hazards<br />• Travel to other sites & on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours<br />• Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights.<br /><br /><b>You are...</b><br />• Experienced in a similar role, or have worked in a self-employed capacity in recent years<br />• Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving licence<br />• Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed<br />, accurate maintenance information<br />• Skilled at DIY & general maintenance<br />• Preferably experienced in the electrical/plumbing/construction industry<br />• Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude.<br /><br /><b>Why Cygnet?
