|Leading Yorkshire and Derbyshire law firm BRM has strengthened its Sheffield office with the appointment of experienced real estate specialist Anthony Ogley as director of residential and commercial development.
Based across Sheffield and Chesterfield, BRM has appointed Anthony to lead its established residential development team, bringing more than 20 years of experience advising on residential and commercial real estate matters.
Joining from Knights
Anthony joins BRM from Knights, where he had been a partner since 2020. Throughout his career he has advised on a wide range of development agreements, funding arrangements, site acquisitions and disposals, as well as landlord and tenant matters, investment work and secured lending. His experience spans projects including cinema-led retail developments, logistics hubs and multi-unit retail schemes.
Speaking about his move, Anthony said:

Anthony also highlighted his ambitions for the role and his return to working in Sheffield.
He said:
“Alongside my legal expertise and experience, I have a proven track record in team development and strategic business growth, built from working across numerous geographic markets in different roles and at firms of various sizes and structures.
“I am looking forwarding to using my experience to enhance and develop the legal services delivered to BRM’s established clients as well as developing new revenue streams.
“I’m also looking forward to becoming part of the BRM team, getting to know my new colleagues and again working in my home city of Sheffield.”

BRM said the appointment reinforces its position as one of the region's largest real estate legal teams.
