Optegra - Laser Eye Surgery & Cataract Surgery Sheffield

Went to have a cataract surgery on right eye.easy to get to,very clean place. Receptionist very helpful and made you at ease.there is nothing to worry about at all.went onto ward with 5 other people and was administered 3 drops three times over roughly 1 hour.just before taken into theatre was administered last 2 drops and in i went.took about 8 to 10 minutes. It was like watching fireworks, very bright with liquid bieng put in eye every few minutes. Could see new clear lens bieng inserted. Amazing. Didn't feel a thing.got home and just wear sunglasses till eye adjusts to light.took mine about 4 days.follow booklet instructions they give you about lifting etc.can see clearly now. Great experience. Anybody worried, don't be.fantastic staff ,nurses really looked after me.

I could only say I had an excellent experience from stepping into Optegra to leaving,after both my Cataracts had been operated on. I had a few concerns so I went back and was treated in a caring way. I am at the moment waiting to go back for some Laser treatment. Hopefully I should be getting my appointment soon. Thankyou Everyone at Optegra Sheffeild From Jeanette Hartley

Initially impressed with ease of access, parking and receptionist. But went downhill after that. Appt was 2pm. By 2.20pm still not been seen. Tardiness is one of my bugbears. Then the various eye tests were carried out in a manner that did not imbue me with confidence. Ive had a few of these so know what to expect. The tech at Optegra didnt speak much or explain what she was doing etc. I know its tedious saying same thing over and over but its gives patients more confidence in you. Fortunately Patrick the consultant was very good and almost made up for the earlier issues.

I was very impressed with how,Optegra dealt with my cataracts. To start with,the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were all very comforting and,reassuring at all times. I felt very confident and safe their hands. I had my right eye done first and have every confidence in going back to have my left eye cataract done soon. Thank you Optegra! Angela

I had an extensive examination at Sheffield today, looking to improve my long rang vision. after the consultation the optometrist recommended no treatment because it would impact on my near vision, and only have a possible minimum improvement, in my long range vision. I felt this was honest advice and obviously the clients wellbeing was more important than the companies profits. could not recommend them highly enough. Trevor Morris
