The team at Savile St Halfords Autocentre have stepped up on 3 different vehicles in the past few months from a battery change to suspension, brakes, servicing and an MOT all have been a smooth process from drop off, call updates and the text prompts to remind me of the appointment. Halfords have never let me down, always very professional, polite and knowledgeable. They do superb jobs on the car. Big shout out to the gentleman at the front desk at Halfords Savile Street, yesterday Saturday 6th June 2026. I've forgotten his name and the mechanics who did my MOT ,and changed my brake discs,break shoes and break pads. Always there BEST. Full 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Excellent service when I need to have a diagnostic run on my car. The team were very helpful and I received an electronic copy of the diagnostic results. Would recommend.

Avoid Savila Street Halfords. No wonder they have same day and next day available slots every time. I have booked in for a clutch test, went 5 min in advance, went to the reception, asked me to park the car back of the unit, that's all he said. parked near to the rear entrance and wait next to the car. One of the staff member came, while he is doing some other business with a tool vehicle parked right next to the rear unit entrance, wearing a bit dark coloured glasses, rudely asked me are you gona park the car here in a sarcastic way, I said that is what your colleague said and I will move the car. The next question was, I was on trade plates and he was not sure they are covered to do the test drive for the clutch test. He said , he will check and get back to me and asked me to wait in the car. I have waited for almost 20 minutes, went inside the reception and he was having a chit chat with the reception guy and said to me they are not covered to do the test drive with trade plates. It is completely fine if you can't do test drive with trade plates but with out wasting my time. You do not respect your customers and what I felt was it was wrong skin colour of mine as well. I have seen the some reviews from others as well they have refused to do clutch inspection and brake test where as they have mention on the website.

Horrific. Please Avoid at all costs. I used their free brake check service as my hand brake was loose. They suggested to replace my hand brake cable which they did the next day. After getting this replaced I parked at the top of hunterhill road. A couple of hours later I came back to find the hand brake had failed and my car had rolled and smashed into another car. My car was a write off. Not only did Halfords over charge for this (£360) they destroyed my beloved first car. I phoned the customers service who were extremely rude and asked me to drive the car in so they can look and prove they’d messed up. The car was destroyed. They said nothing they can do, I’d have to pay for a transport vehicle and pay for a mechanic to check it. Clearly an awful service and their fault my cars gone. Shocking mechanics. Shocking customer service. Shocking price. If you come here you’re paying to get your car destroyed
