Halfords Garage Services Rotherham

Had my car in yesterday for its mot and a major service. This is the first time i have taken my vehicle to halfords. I was advised they would most likely have the car for the day. All in all i had my car back after 3 hours. Very prompt and efficient service. I will definitely be taking back for next years mot and service.

Well... I've used these couple of times for MOT. Never really had a issue. Excellent staff and that. But today after picking my car up from having it's MOT and Service to find a piece of used chewing gum in the passenger side door next to the button for the window. Highly disgusting. I wouldn't be too bothered if they took ownership about it but to be told that the technician wouldn't have chewing gum. Well it wasn't there this morning when dropping it off. Safe to say, I'd definitely would not be going there. Only 3 stars for the staff in the past.

I should have signed up to Halfords years ago. Perfection and Professional. Not only was is fast, and on time, but the ease of access, everything simplified, book, drop off, pick up, easy. And they even have a tracker system to track the progress. As Max Verstappen would say, SIMPLY LOVELY. 💯

Had my rear break discs and pads replaced by someone I knew but then booked in for full break check at Halfords as wanted to be sure there was nothing else was wrong. Halfords told me I needed new front discs and pads, new rear pads (that had just been replaced 2 days ago), rear right caliper and parking break cable. All of which added up to around £900. I took the car to my local independent garage (who quoted less than £500) who said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the breaks. Will never trust Halfords again

Having spent the best part of £450 on new tyres it would have been nice to have them looking “shiny and new”. Alas, they were daubed in “lube”. The guys who do the £10 car was seem to take much more pride in their work. I don’t blame the technician, it’s management’s responsibility.
