We engaged Sandersons for a major renovation of our Victorian home. We were very pleased by the integrity, professionalism and care shown by Craig and all his team and the subcontractors who were very well chosen. The quality of the workmanship was excellent. More importantly the team were very friendly and helpful in what was a significant upheaval for us. We would definitely use them again.

We appointed Sanderson Building Services to convert a large stable block into a modern 5 bedroom property with smart features and exceptional design. The approach was truly collaborative, professional and they went the extra mile to ensure the property came out amazing - we are currently working with them on another project. No hesitation in recommending them.

I’ve known Sanderson Building Services’s work for about 15 years, initially when working as an architect on school and community projects, more recently for domestic work including two projects on my own house. I’ve not experienced a more likeable, helpful, diligent, competent and trustworthy team of workers, or a more fair-minded head office. They price very competitively – they are not always the cheapest (they often are) but they always give excellent value for money and they do not treat variations as a means to boost profitability. In 2020 they installed a beautiful new, custom-built kitchen with underfloor heating, new lighting and new external doors in our house. This was at a stressful time for us for other, unrelated reasons, and they were so thoughtful about not increasing our stress levels. They have just (December 2024) completed a reroof of my and my neighbour’s houses, including stripping the internal finishes and increasing the insulation of our attic, and inserting solar panels. This could have been a nightmare, with 100 years-worth of muck in the roofspace waiting to invade the rest of the house, but they were so careful and managed to do it extremely cleanly. The resulting room is a delight. Today it’s about 2° outside and our attic is the warmest room in the house. They are very good people – I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

The company promises to see job through but just make excuses for very poor workmanship. 2 shower rooms replaced within a year failed, underfloor heating didn’t work had to replace all manifolds (eventually) Tarmac driveway has to be fully replaced not to a acceptable standard (had 2 independent contractors advise) Interior finishes not to standard for a new building plaster work/ paint work/ doors Water heating tanks needed expansion tank’s replaced This is only a few of the issues we had on new build.
