Outwood Dental Practice

We’ve realised that if you’re on the Denplan or equivalent you are treated differently than the pay as you go patients. Having had my appointment cancelled by the dentist, I was offered another I couldn’t attend. I was then offered another appointment 4 months later, which would mean 10 months without seeing the dentist. I was then offered an appointment in the October but was then told it was closed off as a “treatment day” (obviously the dentist’s private treatment). I explained that the surgery was not fulfilling its denplan contract and we were not having appointments every 6 months, more like every 8 to 9 months. I was then offered the October appointment. Whilst this was being booked another patient rang to request an appointment (a pay as you go patient) and miraculously they received an appointment the next week. It dawned on me that if you’re paying for treatment you immediately get the appointment, but if you’re on a plan they are less concerned to offer appointments as they are already getting money out if you, so you don’t matter as much to them. Similarly, you’re supposed to have X-rays every 2 years. On a ‘plan’ this is regularly extended to 2.5 years or more. Certainly looking elsewhere for a new dentist. Sick of being conned!

Christine has been my dentist for many years, she is professional and experienced. She is very approachable and very patient, she will always do her best for your teeth. All the staff from reception to dental nurses are helpful and efficient.

Lovely dentist. Gurjit always very friendly and welcoming with my children, which means no dramas when visiting! No waiting around and easy to change appointments if needed, which I appreciate as a parent.

Outwood Dental Practice take good care of you from the start of your appointment threw treatment and when it’s finished. Would recommend this practice to anyone who wants to take care of their teeth. Been attending this practice for years now .

Really good place.. they listen and care. I was only a emergency patient really looked after me. The reception ladies are great and thank you Christine the dentist for everything
