Ordered a toasted teacake, which came with a thumbnail of butter. When ordering the teacake I was offered Jam or marmalade with it. Which i declined. When I asked a staff member for a bit more butter I was told I would have to re-que and pay 20p if I wanted more butter. I asked if I could please have it instead of the jam which I was offered. They said I wasn't allowed. I asked for a refund as im not keen on dry toasted teacakes. Ridiculous.
Friendly staff, food was lovely, seemed happy to do anything for us, good coffee, plenty off room and kept clean with reasonable prices
Visited today a usual Saturday morning, the member of staffs manner who was serving us was disgusting, he tuttered when I asked for something extra as if it was too much trouble, we asked for a poached egg on the breakfast which was that hard when it finally came you could have bounced it off the wall, the hash browns were clearly cooked in the same fryer as the fish, what if someone has an allergy to fish the same member of staff brought the breakfast but no cutlery, we had to go and ask for some, he was very abrupt with a lady and a small baby as she had left her trolley while she got the baby settled. Over all a very disappointing visit. I think the staff need to have lessons in good practice and manners.
Always a good day when we start it at the Wath Tesco Café, fantastic helpful friendly staff especially but not limited to Rachel, lovely food in decent portions and great Coffee (IMO), lovely clean atmosphere, can't fault it at all.
Rude staff, was dirty looked when i walked in, asked for identification after ordering a breakfast item and an orange juice.
