The Golden Lion

Absolutely exceptional Sunday family lunch today. I'd emailed the The Golden Lion for a copy of the menu as we needed a children menu (plus I'm a Pescatarian) so wanted to make sure there was something for each of us. Could not fault the reply to confirm our needs were met. A copy of the Sunday menu was also emailed across. Food was faultless. Location was perfect. Sunday lunch, my hubby said, was perfect. One of the best! I had the Brie and Red Onion tart with chips. Couldn't fault any of it. Staff were lovely and very welcoming too. Visit here. You won't be disappointed 👍👍

Cracking pub with dining and bedrooms ! We stayed in room 14 and it was spotlessly clean, a generous size and very comfortable, the bed & bed linen were super & insured a good night's sleep. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Parking is right outside and staff were friendly in particular the lady at breakfast 👍 No hesitation in recommending.

Ordered a Beef Roast dinner, Pork child's roast and a brie and caramelised onion tart. Child's meal was basically the same as the adults. The tart was rich and creamy. Roasts came with a plate of veg and another plate of cauliflower cheese. All tasted amazing! Will visit again!

Had an evening meal which would have been nice but for the people on the next table . 3 of them vaping which stunk. Obviously no point in saying anything to the staff as they were all friends or related . Completely spoilt my food

I came to stay for 2 nights but the hotel and staff were 100percent the food 100percent the prices 100percent and the customers made me so Welcome ill definitely stay again it was that nice and friendly I paid and stayed another night so I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every night thanks to staff at the Golden lion Leyburn credit to you all i can't thank you enough xx
