A very friendly Yorkshire welcome awaits you here. Bought some sweets for the journey home after my wife and I had spent a couple of nights at the village pub, the Fox & Hounds. Stop by if you get the chance and support these local businesses in a wonderful Yorkshire Dales village.
Lovely tea room and shop with fantastic staff who are very friendly. I had a lovely slice of coffee cake and it was amazing. Very good prices and well stocked shop too. We bought a fresh loaf of multi grain bread to take away and it was so fresh and tasty. We will be visiting again very soon.
The two ladies who run the shop and the tea room are very friendly. Good food - selection of cakes available plus soup and toasted tea cakes. The tea room can sit one table of four and one table of two. It is a little cramped as there is shop merchandise and plants on sale in the tea room too but other than that it is a lovely place.
Oh my word where to begin, apart from the stunning location which is somewhere to relax for a while. The tea room is excellent, the food is amazing and the portion sizes are fantastic. We actually went back a second day which is unusual for us. So if you are looking for somewhere lovely, and bite to eat this place is highly recommend.
A nice little shop selling all the basics to tie you over until you can a bigger shop in Hawes or Leyburn. You can reserve your newspaper too, if you want to. Lovely staff. We stayed in West Burton in early January, so the tea room wasn't open, understandably.
