Wombwell Cemetery is cared for by the Friends of Wombwell Cemetery and Barnsley Council.

The cemetery houses two Grade II listed chapels, two baby memorials, numerous war graves, and a few well-known names such as Mark Jones, Manchester United football player.

The cemetery has winter and summer opening hours.

Winter - Oct - March: 8am - 5:30pm

Summer - Apr - Sept: 8am - 9pm

The Peace Garden chapel (one without the roof) closes at 4pm daily.
